The Abingdon Square Christmas tree, adorned with thousands of lights, came to life on a frigid Friday night, December 6th. This jewel now brightens the night in the heart of our beloved West Village. Over 200 excited kids and families cheered on Santa as he flipped the switch.
Thankfully, hot cocoa was on hand to warm our hearts (and hands!) as we shivered in the 29 degree weather. Cookies and candy were consumed at record speed. Children loved their flashing green and red safety lights. Our caroling was particularly joyful as many singers spontaneously added their voices to the chorus.
