Dear Neighbors,
This year’s Tulip Celebration was reimagined. It took place IN Abingdon Square: where the tulips and many other varieties of spring bulbs, almost 12,000 in all, were in dazzling bloom!
Our friends and neighbors joined us in sunshine and fresh air with art and music, to welcome Spring in The Square, in all its glory.
All who came enjoyed a stroll, sat in the sun, savored the blooms, took pictures and reconnected with neighbors.
We were serenaded by cellist Peter Lewy, a familiar and loved West Village artist; and met “Kaz” Morimoto whose iconic Village paintings were on display and for sale. Kaz generously donated a portion of the proceeds to the Conservancy for upkeep of the Square.
